W8-A new application of Google Gaget

Google Gadgets are mini-applications that work with the Google homepage, Google Desktop, or any page on the web. They can range from simple HTML to complex applications, and can be a calendar, a weather globe, a media player, or anything else you can dream up.
Introdued by one of my classmates, I begin to notice a recent popular small gadget on internet, it is called Google Gadget. It really make my home page and my desk top much beautiful. Let's see the example of google below:

I am so exciting to see such small gadget in my web page, it is quite easy to make it. On the internet, there are hundreds of thousands of these kind of things. Most of them are not just for fun, some of clock and calendar gadget are so nice to be put on personal website. Thanks to XML technology, when users want to use this gadget, they don't need to down load any thing from Google, it is just a link to google, everything is done on servers side. XML pays a very important rule in this application, it is used to tranform data between user and server.
Below is the objective of Google that provides gadget service:
"Now anyone can have a great-looking website with automatically updating content," said Adam Sah, Google Gadgets Architect. "By making Google Gadgets available for you to add to your webpage, we're working to connect developers with enthusiastic consumers and to make information universally accessible and useful to the individual user."(Google Press Center)

Submit your gadget to Google
Once you've completed a gadget that you want to share with the Google community, you can
submit it to request its inclusion in the content directory, which reaches millions of Google users across multiple Google products.
