W2-The first project (rethinking)

This week, I am doing the first project of personal website by using XHTML and CSS, it is a bit difficult for me, before I did quite little for web page programming. But this time, it is even worse, we must only use the word editor but nothing else to program, it is hard for me. In fact, for the first several days, I am just reading books, borrowed books from the library and began to digest them. Now I finished the job, I really learn a lot of grammers of XHTML and CSS, CSS really reduce a lot of workload for web site developer, I am pround that I am able to use CSS to create XHTML pages. I want to talk about XHTML here, it is just XML, is the sussessor of HTML, in my opinion, when we program in HTML, it really can be a mess, but the page can still be worked. The history is that HTML 4.01(strict,transitional,frameset) is the last version of HTML, then the XHTML era began from the XHTML1.0(strict,transitional,frameset), and now XHTML1.1 is widely used. (The world (technology) is changing so fast, we must keep the pace!!). The most trouble thing is not the programming but to validate the web page and css to fullfil the W3C stardard. A lot of errors are found by the validating system of W3C, so I must correct them one by one. I have some suggestion to those who are now doing this project, you should check the XHTML document while you program it so that you will the errors and correct them in time. If you check it after the completion of your page, there will be a lot of errors and the code you program is hard to read because there should be many lines of them, believe me, it is a good choice to validate it when you program.
